Planning is valuable, though the plan is usually useless. - Ben Horowitz
Things don’t always go as planned. In fact, they rarely do. Me and my buddies at Appchance are working our asses off to launch Habits (that’s what the new app is called) before New Year’s, and new challenges arise every day. I haven’t planned for this, but at this point I’m not sure if we can make it on time at all. All I know is I don’t want to release a half-assed product.
The thing is, if we want to have a chance of Habits being reviewed by Apple by the end of the year, we should submit the app by December 15 at the very latest. We are working round the clock to make it, but the odds are against us. This is also the reason why I haven’t been able to document the development process as thoroughly as I wanted to - all I manage to do is share some thoughts and photos on Twitter.
That being said, I’m learning a ton and having lots of fun working on this project. I am super excited about the app, Habits, which is going to help people stick to their resolutions (like running, reading, or doing other things on a regular basis). I am scratching my own itch here, which really makes me want to make this app as useful and fun to use as possible. Hopefully, it will help other people, too.
Over and out.
